How we build and verify listings

1. We collect firms from public accountant lists, starting with Summ's partner page, and from the firms' own websites.
2. We confirm each firm's official website. Firms without a confirmed website aren't shown yet.
3. Licenses: we check CPAs on CPAverify or with the state board, and attorneys with the state bar. Until we've done that, a listing shows "Not yet verified".
4. Every row records its source and the date we checked it.
5. Payment never buys a listing, a placement, or a verification label. To send a correction, see Get listed.
